Have you ever performed on stage or given a speech?

I perform every day.

I wear masks every single day.

I have done since a small child.

I dreamt of performing.

I wanted to be in the West End.

Singing and dancing.

Pouring my heart out in the most wholesome way.

Day after day.

That’s why I chose to sing for ‘Stream for Mind’.

Face my biggest fears of my voice being heard.

Instead I now retreat inside myself again in my illness.

Pain hard to bear.

Creating a shell so tough it’s impenetrable.

Inside I quiver.

Foetal position.

Gently rocking myself calm.

Awaiting my moment to shed this thick skin.

Awaiting my freedom.

Awaiting my life.

My blog is my stage.

I will not be torn down from it.
