What cities do you want to visit?
I love to travel and explore.
Immerse myself fully into a different culture.
The colours, the music, the smell, the food, the way of living.
Exploring history and art, religion. How they have all shaped and crafted the city over the centuries, enriching and sometimes sabotaging the lifestyle of the cities’ inhabitants.
I’m not interested in beaches and tourist destinations.
I don’t want to find little England when I travel.
I can’t afford to travel.
I travel through literature.
I travel through time and imagination.
I escape in words and poetry and swim across oceans of texts and passages. Soar through clouds of others’ dreams and realities.
If I could create my own destination, it would be an Emerald City.
But not as you know it.
A utopian haven.
No limits.
No constraints other than peace and harmony and coexistence.
Rich in culture and depths of beauty.
Bounteous in experience.
A sanctuary.
There.
I shall escape there.
