Where The Wild Things Are

I let the colours of the wind tattoo my skin

And paint my body into the fibres of the canvas

Woven through the landscape I dissolve within

The tremors of the Earth

Vibrate in my chest, escaping on my breath

A whisper

Echoes of journeys once traversed

Hollow are my lungs

Thirsty is my mind

Unquenchable

Restless are my feet

Begging for textures that contrast the sanguinous grains of salt that blister them

Unravelled

The locks of hair, twisted

Caressing a fractured spine contained by scaffolding constructed by lego

As a child

Boundless are the valleys and mountains that lay ahead and

Evanesce in my wake

Birdsong carries lullabies of old

Conifers whisper wisdom to saplings

Elements complementing, cycling

Nurturing, guiding

Beauty personified

Graciousness

Simplicity

Honest

Secure

I drink from the vine

Nourish from the fruits

Scavenge for connection

Immerse myself in the hedgerows

Lay Foundation in the undergrowth

Sow (sew) seeds, garnered and harvested

Suckled and cultivated by virtue of umbilical connection to my soul

Everlasting Hope

Eternal Journey
