What’s in a name?

You may be wondering about the name of my blog. It seems such a bold thing standing there on the front page. All about me? No.

Why the name then?
Let me expand. Yes, this blog is centred on personal experience. My personal experience involves living with BPD/EUPD amongst other, physical conditions. The narrative of BPD is a self-centred stereotype that is generally false. There are narcissistic types of personality disorder, but BPD is rarely that. The name seemed fitting to me, as I hope to draw people away from that narrative through the blog itself.

Yes, I am a very introspective being, so naturally a lot of my posts will reflect this tendency to speak about things that are personal to me, or important to me . The intention on sharing is about raising awareness, and finding positive ways to navigate living with mental health challenges amongst other things.

Who am I, reflects on our changing condition. We all have past behaviours we are less than happy to remember about ourselves. Who we were at one point in our lives does not necessarily reflect on who we are today, or what version of ourselves we may be in the future.

I blog for me, I blog for others. I just hope to be a comfort to anyone going through the same situation. Persistence is worth it.

  1. You are constantly giving🤗

Through all of your struggles with this damned awful illness, for you who have to cope with it everyday and some of us as Carers you give:

An insight into how you think and feel

How things affect you day to day

How you cope as a mother and partner

How social events can be terrifying and things you do to try and cope/mask your feelings

You help us, as Carers to give that little extra kindness and understanding and to REALLY listen.

It must at times be traumatising and Triggering to give out your heart and soul like this, but I cannot tell you how much I value your openness and I hope with all of my heart that you get some release from expressing yourself on here.

I also hope that it helps other BPD/EUPD sufferers, to understand their own emotions a little better and most importantly for sufferers and Carers alike to know that they’re not alone

You have achieved your goal – you brought me comfort ❤️xx
